The Importance of Dental Health: A Guide from Dr. Jed Keener

The Importance of Dental Health: A Guide from Dr. Jed Keener

When it comes to overall health, many people tend to overlook the importance of dental care. However, maintaining a healthy mouth is crucial not only for a bright smile but also for preventing more serious health issues. At Keener Smiles, Dr. Jed Keener is passionate about helping his patients achieve optimal oral health through preventive care, education, and expert dental treatments.

Why Dental Health Matters

Good oral hygiene goes beyond just brushing and flossing. Regular dental check-ups can catch early signs of tooth decay, gum disease, and other oral health problems before they become major issues. These problems, if left untreated, can lead to more severe conditions such as infections, tooth loss, and even heart disease or diabetes.

“Your oral health is closely connected to your overall health,” explains Dr. Keener. “Taking care of your teeth and gums is one of the simplest ways to safeguard your well-being.”

Dr. Jed Keener’s Approach to Dental Care

With a commitment to providing top-tier dental services, Dr. Keener combines cutting-edge technology with personalized care. His philosophy is rooted in preventive dentistry, focusing on regular cleanings, patient education, and addressing any issues before they become more serious.

Whether you need routine cleanings or advanced restorative procedures, Dr. Keener and his team at Keener Smiles are dedicated to helping you achieve and maintain excellent dental health.

Simple Steps to Improve Your Oral Health

  1. Brush and Floss Regularly – Brush at least twice a day and floss daily to remove plaque and prevent cavities.
  2. Visit the Dentist – Schedule regular dental check-ups with Dr. Keener to monitor your oral health and address any concerns early.
  3. Limit Sugary Foods and Beverages – Reducing sugar intake can help prevent tooth decay and gum disease.
  4. Stay Hydrated – Drinking water, especially after meals, helps wash away food particles and neutralizes acids produced by bacteria in the mouth.

👉 We’re baaaack! 👈

👉 We’re baaaack! 👈 and are so happy to return to our normal business hours! We’ve missed all our patients’ smiling faces and look forward to seeing each and every one of you. We appreciate your patience during this time, as we are having to call our entire patient database to reschedule everyone’s appointment. This takes quite some time for our team, so please know that you WILL be receiving a call from us to reschedule as soon as possible! We are also scheduling patients for longer appointments to allow us to completely sterilize the area in between patient appointments. Our priority is always, our patients and team’s safety.

When we call you, we’re going to have a brief questionnaire that we have to go through to ensure we keep our office safe for our patients and our staff. Once you are scheduled, and arrive at our office for your appointment, we ask that you call us to let us know you are here. We will then come out to the car, take your temperature and go over the same questions from our phone call. You’ll be given hand sanitizer and walked directly to the chair for your appointment.

Please let us know if you have any questions, and we look forward to seeing you in person! ❤️🥰
