Dental X-rays are a useful tool to help us detect decay, damage and/or disease not detectable by a visual exam.

How often X-rays are taken depends on your current oral health, your age, your risk factors for disease, and any signs or symptoms of oral disease.

If you are a new patient to our office, we might recommend new X-rays to determine the present status off your oral health.  We will do our best to request prior X-rays from your previous dental office.  Regardless, new X-rays provide us with a baseline to help us identify changes that may occur later.

Our X-rays are digital and tend to be easy to take and provide us with a considerable amount of information relating to your particular treatment needs.

Dental X-rays are safe, however, a small amount of radiation exposure exists.  Rest assured that we will do everything possible to minimize this exposure.
