Do you have moderate to severely discolored teeth? Are you dissatisfied with the shape or alignment of your teeth?
In certain situations veneers can be a great solution to correct these problems. There are two common types of veneers: composite or ceramic. Composite veneers are an inexpensive way to improve on some cosmetic concerns. These are done with a tooth colored material which is bonded and light cured. Ceramic veneers, on the other hand, are thin shells of porcelain which are bonded to the teeth. Done correctly, they look beautiful and offer many years of service.
At our office, we may do some preliminary mockups in either wax or composite which help you gain an understanding of how veneers may change your smile.
The preparation for your ceramic veneers is very conservative. Afterwards an impression is taken and sent to our ceramicist who will make your beautiful veneers. At your next appointment, usually within 2 weeks, we will bond the new veneers in place.
Rest assured, your satisfaction is of the utmost importance to us. If you (or our team) don’t like the esthetics, we will strive to make it right and ultimately meet your approval.
The longevity of these beautiful restorations, like all other dental work, is dependent upon proper oral health care.
