Dr. Mark Keener grew up in Portland, Oregon. His journey to become a dentist took a winding road. After graduating with a Biology degree from Lewis and Clark College, he worked as a biologist for two years in Southeast Alaska. He and his wife, Ann, then joined the Peace Corps and served in Nepal for 2 1/2 years. After returning back to Oregon he began dental school at Oregon Health Sciences University. After graduating in 1991 he did a fellowship for one year, then he and his young family went back to Nepal where he worked at the American Embassy Dental Clinic in Kathmandu for 2 years. He and his family moved to Redmond in 1994 at which time he was able to purchase his current practice. He is a member of the Central Oregon Dental Society, Oregon Dental Association, American Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry.
