Dental implants are a great way to replace missing teeth.  Dental implants are titanium posts that are placed into the jawbone.  Once the implant(s) becomes fully integrated or fused to the bone, a crown or bridge can be attached to them.  Over the last 40 years, implants have seen many changes and advances and can provide many long term options for tooth replacement.  In addition, placement of implants helps support and stabilize existing bone.

After careful consideration and often with the aid of computer generated imagery, implants are placed surgically into position.  Implants will become osseointegrated in 4-6 months, at which time your restorative team will begin making a single implant crown, an implant supported bridge, or denture, depending on the situation.

Once completed the crown, bridge, or denture is fixed to the implant with screws or cement.  It provides a natural feel and will offer years of service.  If you are interested in dental implants please don’t hesitate to discuss the options with us.
