Meet Dr. KeenerDr. Mark Keener grew up in Portland, Oregon.  His journey to become a dentist took a winding road.  After graduating with a Biology degree from Lewis and Clark College, he worked as a biologist for two years in Southeast Alaska.  He and his wife, Ann, then joined the Peace Corps and served in Nepal for 2 1/2 years. After returning back to Oregon he began dental school at Oregon Health Sciences University.  After graduating in 1991 he did a fellowship for one year,  then he and his young family went back to Nepal where he worked at the American Embassy Dental Clinic in Kathmandu for 2 years. He and his family moved to Redmond in 1994 at which time he was able to purchase his current practice.  He is a member of the Central Oregon Dental Society, Oregon Dental Association, American Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry.

Dr. Keener has immersed himself into his community.  He has been active with the Boys and Girls Club, youth athletics, 4H, Jericho Road, Donated Dental Services, Family Access Network(FAN) and Empty Bowls.  He provides donated dental work for the Kemple Clinic, The Dental Lifeline Network, FAN and others who may be in need.  Dr. Keener has been married to his wife Ann , a special Ed Teacher at Ridgeview High School, for 36 years.  They have two children, Jed and Rae.  In his free time, Dr Keener loves to fly fish, cycle, camp and travel the world.  You might even see him in the Dry Canyon trying to keep up with his hygienists on an afternoon run!
